About Sanjeevani


Playback singer Sanjeevani Bhelande is a name that represents high quality in the music-field today. Her first playback song ‘चोरी चोरी जब नज़रें मिलीं’ for Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s film 'क़रीब' got her global recognition. What followed was a spate of super-hits like her  'चुरालो न दिल मेरा सनम' (from क़रीब),   निकम्मा किया (from क्या दिलने कहॉ) , यारा रब रूस जानेदे  (from सोचा न था ), मख़मली यह बदन (film Road), 'Uljhanonko de diya' from 'Rules: Pyar Ka Superhit Formula' and many more songs in 14 different languages. 

These being her playback songs, Sanjeevani is a multi-faceted artiste. She sings, is a trained classical dancer, writes, comperes her live shows, anchors TV shows... that's the conventional description. But  everything she does has a soul connection.

When Sanjeevani ascends the stage, you are mesmerised by her sweet, trained voice, gentle humour, depth, education and graceful movements. She has more than 1500 live concerts to her credit worldwide.

She has recorded  more than a 100 devotional tracks on YouTube. Some of her 'Aartis' like 'Jai Adya Shakti' has 14 million hits on YouTube, 'Om Jai Jagdish Hare', 'Sukhkarta Dukhharta' have more than 5 million views. 

Her YouTube video of ‘Nigahen Milaneko’ touched 1 million views in 6 months.

Sanjeevani has widened her horizon beyond singing to classical dance forms Kathak & Odissi.  

She has also written a book and released a fusion-album called 'Meera and Me', in  which she has translated Meerabai's poetry in English.

She has represented India at the 'Asian Broadcasting' festival in Turkey where her 'Meera and Me' in English was highly appreciated

She is the first-ever winner most renowned talent-contest Saregama aired on Zee TV in 1995 and first to get a Playback-singing break from a television talent-hunt show.
